MAC 187 vs MAC 187SE brush

Oh well.. although I have yet to use 187SE brush in this color form set.. I do realise that there is a difference between a full size 187 brush and a 187SE brush.. they look like different bristles are used. There is a difference between the prices of the 2 brushes as well, that is why its not possible for the same bristles to be found on 187SE. 187 alone cost $82, whereas 5 SE brushes with 2 pouches cost $91.


Take a look at the outlook of the 2 brushes ( 187 and 187SE) side by side:



The brush on the left is 187, right is a brand new 187SE.
187SE white bristles looks greyish white, rather than off white even before washed. I dont really dare to wash the bristles of my 187SE, because I was so afraid that the greyish white bristles will turn blackie!!

I am still skeptical whether 187SE can be as good as the full size 187 when it comes to application....
