Product Description:

RevitaLens OcuTec™ Multi-purpose Disinfecting Solution delivers high-quality disinfection and comfort for the user, with the convenience of a single bottle. The solution was developed in cooperation with world class silicone hydrogel, microbiology and chemistry experts and with input from more than 600 eye care professionals.

Key characteristics of RevitaLens OcuTec™ Multi-purpose Disinfecting Solution:

• high effectiveness against a broad spectrum of ocular pathogens in the environment;
• effectively kills hard-to-eliminate Acanthamoeba cysts and Fusarium;

Directions of use:

Remember to rinse again on both sides of the contact lens before wearing your lenses:

Some of the contact lens-related eye infections is due to poor hygiene or/and improper cleansing, handling and storing of contact lenses, that is why it is very important to adhere to the cleansing regimen with three simple steps, no matter what brand of multi-purpose disinfecting solution you are using.

The rub and rinse regimen with multi-purpose disinfecting solution effectively kills 90% of bacteria and fungi while disinfecting the lenses by soaking them helps to removes any residual microorganism

1. Rubbing – Using a suitable multi-purpose disinfecting solution (MPDS) , place contact lens on the palm and rub both sides of the lens from the centre to the edges gently with your index finger.
2. Disinfecting/Soaking – Soak your lenses in fresh disinfecting solution for at least 6 hours. Lens case should be cleaned after use and replaced every 1 – 3 months.
3. Rinsing – Rinse the lens with fresh disinfecting solution before wearing to refresh the lens surface and remove any traces of debris.

Conclusion:

Prior to trying out RevitaLens Ocutec Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution, I have been using Bausch & Lomb daily lens cleaner for sensitive eyes follow by Solo Care Aqua All-In-One Solution. I just feel double cleansing will make lens cleaner and also bring longer comfort when I am wearing my lenses. Ok, to test out the effectiveness of RevitaLens Ocutec Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution which claims to deliver high-quality disinfection and comfort for the user, I just use it alone following the steps indicated on the packaging (as shown in the pictures above).  I can literally see the debris being removed when I rub gently on both sides of the lenses, now I do not have to go through the hassle to use two products to clean my lenses when one single product does the job perfectly ~  I do feel that it provides more comfort all day long, even when I wear my lenses for more than 8 hours almost every day. Superior disinfection, comfort and convenience all in a bottle with RevitaLens Ocutec Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution.

This is my first time owning a rotating mascara and I am addicted to using it, and I use it very often because it is really fun and give great results. I do not have to coat my lashes in a zig-zag motion with this rotating brush mascara, because the rotating motion coats every single lash on its own. All I have to do is just slowly work my brush from the root to the tip of my eye lashes. Tadaa.. within less than a minute, my eyelashes look so much longer and volumized! Now my lashes can be seen! I also love the fact that it manages to separate each strand of lashes without any clumps.

A comparison of Freshkon Mosaic Charming Brown and Freshkon Colors Fusion Sparklers Brilliant Brown

Freshkon Colors Fusion Sparklers in Brilliant Brown has an organish-brown unique pattern, with a well defined dark brown ring effect framed in a thin black border. These lenses are pretty soft and thin but easy to wear and remove. Most of all, my eyes feel very comfortable when I am wearing them, even after more than 8 hours. I am glad that I did not experience any dryness or itchiness during wear.

I find that they look pretty natural on my brown eyes under natural lighting, not really a drastic transformation..maybe because I have brown eyes but they does add some radiance (thanks to the well-defined dark brown ring effect!) and gives a bit of enlarging effect to my eyes.

So what is the difference between the Sparklers and Dazzling range?

I have not tried the Dazzling range though. From the images, it appear to me that the sparklers colors seem to have a dark-toned border on the lens' design giving it 3-shades effect, whereas the dazzling colors seem to give a 2-toned effect.(but I may be wrong, since its just my guess based on the pictures.)

Update: Yes, I made a wrong guess.. Dazzlers range is also 3-toned! How cool is that!

Lancome Makeup Launch Bloggers' Event

Last week, I was invited to Lancome Makeup Launch Bloggers' Event @  L'oreal Office where we got to try out the latest Lancome mascara - Hypnôse Precious Cells and also the new members of the Ombre Absolue Impact 3D eyeshadow palettes range.

Product Introduction

First of all, let me introduce you to this pretty and friendly lady who invited me to the event... She is none other than Ms Celine (Lancome's Assistant Product Manager). I can feel her excitement as she shared with us on the latest product - Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara.

It is a mascara that is capable of protecting the lashes, and at the same time, offer an astounding hypnotic make-up effect for women all over the world.

Bolstered by its knowledge of stem cells, Lancome created the first formula capable of optimising stem cell activity by acting on their environment in the skincare line: Absolue Precious Cells. In 2010, the technology is transported first-time to makeup in Virtuôse Precious Cells as an advanced lash care product. Seeing a market for regenerated lashes with volume, Lancome presents Hypnôse Precious Cells in 2011.

Key ingredients include:

1. Lash Densifier Complex consists mainly of a precious plant cell extract, Malus domestica - already present in the cream formula of Absolue Precious Cells – which is capable of restoring the environment of stem cells in the lashes within the follicle.

Touted as the "Fountain of Youth", Malus domestica is present in Hypôse Precious Cells and is capable of restoring the environment of stem cells in the lashes within the follicle. Not only selected for its high resistance, it also contains a complex association of cellular structural components such as peptides, lipids and sugars that can be assimilated by cells.

Within 28 days, lashes are visibly regenerated. Lashes’ life cycle is extended and they appear stronger and densified. Younger lashes can now grow stronger and fuller and mature lashes remain visibly longer and thicker.

   

2. Madecassoside is a fortifying ingredient that is used to strengthen and thicken the hair, commonly used in hair-loss products. Its anti-inflammatory properties help to absorb micro-irritation so as to extend the life of lash follicles.
3. Arginine, a type of amino acid known of its nourishing properties, can help to stimulate micro-circulation of nutrients within the follicle so as to re-densify lash fibres.
4. Hyaluronic Acid also present to give an instant plumping effect for a lash by lash, voluptuous curve.

There was also a makeup demonstration in which Lancome's senior makeup artist/consultant (Sharon) showed us how we can create a multi-dimensional captivating gaze to reveal wide, expressive eyes using the latest Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara and Ombre Absolue Impact 3D eyeshadow palette in A30 Papilon Violette.

This simple and fast eye makeup on the lovely model's eyes instantly brightened up her eyes! Can you see that her lashes were volumized and looked really long?

Can you see any difference?

After application, my pathetic lashes instantly looked longer and volumized. After applying the second coat of mascara, I was surprised that my lashes did not look clumpy(like some spiders' legs), so I went on to add more coats .. and the effect was getting better and more obvious with each coat applied.. so here is the result after 3-4 coats... 

 

 

 

Although it is not a water-proof mascara, it is smudge-resistant. I love how easy I am able to remove my mascara completely with my eye makeup remover at the end of the day. Thanks to Lash Densifier Complex, my lashes now feel stronger and look thicker .. No more lashes falling out during wear or when I remove my eye makeup in the past few days after I started using this mascara.
