Healthier Hair With TK Trichokare

And just last week, I got the chance to try out TK Trichokare Hair Loss Defense Treatment at its Wheelock Place’s outlet.

Before I go on to share with you about my experience, check out its cozy shop’s interior...

Before the start of the treatment, the friendly and knowledgeable consultant performed a detailed hair and scalp analysis to diagnose the root of my hair and scalp problem, and recommended the appropriate treatments that were suitable for my hair problem.

My oily scalp and clogged follicles are the main culprits of my hair loss problem and the consultant explained that it was due to my underlying sebaceous glands producing excess sebum, most probably a result of hormonal changes, heredity or stress etc.  One simple remedy is to cleanse my scalp, and nourish my hair follicles and scalp through Trichokare’s hair treatment that uses only natural premium European herbs like Rosemary, Lavender, Nettles, Jojoba , Aloe Vera , Burdock, Horsetail, Sage and Leopard’s Bane that are trusted by European herbalists for centuries.

This is where I was seated during the treatment, a cozy area with nice and soothing music. I was served by a friendly Hair Specialist named Yvonne, who started off by asking how was my day and introducing herself, a good way to interact with customers and made them feel welcomed.

The first step of the treatment was to cleanse my scalp and hair. I was led to the hair-washing area and the first thing Yvonne did was to cover my body with a big  thick towel ,because it was indeed pretty cold there. Feeling all relaxed and comfortable, Yvonne started to shampoo my hair and scalp with a minty shampoo, I can still remember how COLD my scalp felt even until now. You see the temperature of the outlet was pretty low, plus the shampoo-ing gave a very cooling and minty effect on my scalp. In short, it was VERY COLD then, BUT I was enjoying every moment of it because the massage done on my scalp felt AMAZINGLY SOOTHING & RELAXING.  After she rinsed the shampoo, I thought she would proceed to condition my hair, but I was wrong, she continued to pamper me with second round of shampoo-ing  and massaging, and told me that double cleansing will ensure that the scalp will be thoroughly cleansed. How NICE!

Then I went back to my seat where Yvonne continued with the next step of the treatment in which she massaged a mask called Energizing Serum onto my scalp. It felt more like a shampoo to me, because there was foam seen as she massaged the serum onto my scalp.. but it’s a form of hair mask to nourish my hair scalp and follicles. That massage went on for a good 10 minutes or so, before Yvonne rinsed off the hair mask and blow dry my hair.

I was pretty surprised when Yvonne placed this warm bean bag/cushion-like thingy over my shoulder and gave me a relaxing shoulder massage. The constant heat produced from the cushion certainly gave me much warmth during the treatment!

Yvonne also treated my hair with some hair oil to nourish my hair ends, before giving my scalp and hair an Infrared light therapy, to kill any bacteria on scalp and to penetrate the products onto my scalp.

Yes, Smooth and silky hair at the end of the whole treatment, but mostly importantly is there any improvements on my greasy scalp? Pictures of my scalp were taken again after my hair treatment…

I was delighted that I was able to see improvements on my scalp condition in just one session – my scalp was much cleaner, not so oily and my hair follicles were  opened  (the way healthy hair follicles should look like).  I certainly enjoyed my relaxing hair treatment session and was pampered by the friendly and professional Hair Specialists.

Initial thoughts:

The product is easily dispensed from the handy tube. The cream, which is suitable for normal/combination skin, is also easily absorbed into my skin when I applied it on my skin. I do like its light weight texture and that is non sticky.  It does smell like green tea though. I have been using this product in the past few days, and I am glad that I did not experience any breakouts and I do find that my forehead is less oily by mid-day (thanks to the oil control benefit!)  However, it is still too early for me to notice any lightening of my horrible acne marks at this point in time.

Initial thoughts:

 “Oh gosh, this BB cream seems a bit too dark for my skin tone!” This was my first thought when I dispensed the product on my finger tip.

Then I applied the bb cream on my forearm and blended it well over a small area (as seen in the picture above) ..and it really looked much darker than my skin tone.  Next I proceeded to try it on my face, using just a very small amount of product (around 5-cent size) , on my entire face. And it works so much better! The BB cream will not appear too dark if I use the product sparingly. In fact, it blended well with my skin tone.

I do like the light and non greasy texture which provides a matt finish. As it is specially formulated with a nano fine texture, I find that application is a fuss-free process. Although it does not conceal all my imperfections (acne scar marks) fully, it does makes my skin tone more even especially after I applied some translucent loose powder over it. Scent wise, it smells pretty similar to the Aqua Whitening Cream – which is Green Tea!

One thing to note is that, the opening of the tube does get messy after the first use so you got to be careful when you squeeze the product out from the tube every time though.

Just last week, I got to experience a customized facial at Body Wellness Spa outlet located at Winsland House.. (Thanks to The Sample Store and Body Wellness for the invitation!)

After cleansing of my face to remove both face and eyes makeup, the beauty therapist ( Peggy was the one who did the facial for me) proceeded to do a skin check on my bared skin to determine my skin condition before informing me the type of treatment that is suitable for my skin.. I have pretty dehydrated skin with fine lines, so the facial that Peggy did for me is more to replenish lost moisture and increase moisture level on my skin.

During the 1hours+ of facial, these were the steps/treatments that Peggy did on me (as far as I can remember):

• Welcome Touch ( A very gentle massage)
• Cleansing
• Toning
• Scrubber ( or Ultra sonic peeling - it is an machine which uses a hand device (like a small metal plate) that strokes over the skin to remove dead cells for a healthier and clearer complexion.. Do not worry, this treatment is very gentle on skin)
• Eyebrow trimming
• Face massage ( using night cream, the massage was relaxing with the right amount of pressure in rhythmmic stroking movement)
• Application of Moisture mask
• Shoulder Massage ( Yes, while the moisture mask was on my skin, Peggy gave me a massage on my shoulder, neck, upper back chest using kneading, sweeping effleurage and pressure points movements)
• A vial of Hydrating ampoule was then applied on my skin,
• A Collagen sheet mask was then placed over my face
• A machine ( an eletrode) was then used to glide over my mask to penetrate the ampoule into my skin.
• After removing my mask, moisturiser, eye cream and sunblock were applied on my skin.

Wow! That was quite a number of a steps/treatments isn't? After the treatment, I could feel that my skin was smoother and more supple. No redness or allery at all. No extraction was done for the treatment that I did. However, I did ask Peggy what if the customer has got acne, she told me that the beauty therapists will customize the treatment according to the customer's skin type and that it will include a light extraction, follow by suitable treatments/machines to treat the acne.

Being an ex- beautician myself, I can say that this Olinda Facial is not the normal $40-$50 facial that you find outside...( it will easily cost at least $200+ at established beauty salons or spas) Olinda facial is considered more of a complete facial treatment as it includes the ultra sonic peeling treatment, 2 masks, ampoule as well as including a machine to further penetrate the ampoule into our skin.. This is definitely a pampering facial treatment to rejuvenate our skin and I enjoyed it, in an all ladies environment!
