Bawang's Natural Herbal Range

Last Friday, I attended Bawang's 1st Natural Herbal Shampoo Bloggers Discussion Group with fellow bloggers at TCC@ City Hall Link.

It was a pretty casual chat over coffee session with Mr Eugene and Ms Cara from Hannah Holdings Pte Ltd - The company which launched the Jackie Chan endorsed Shampoo range (Bawang Natural Herbal Range).

I am sure many of you must have come across Bawang Natural Herbal products before.. since they are easily available at NTUC fairprice, Watsons, Guardian, OG and CK to name a few..

For me, Bawang Natural Herbal products are not new to me. If you have been reading my blog, you will realise that I had used and re-purchased quite a couple of bottles of Bawang Anti-hair fall shampoo in the past 1 year because I have hair fall concerns.

The smell of Bawang anti-hair fall shampoo is more of  herbal scent. ( No nice floral scent, think of TCM.. I find it smell more of ginseng). Since it is enriched with various Chinese herbal extracts, including Chinese Arborvitae Leaf, Ginseng and Ginger. It works in reducing the hair fall - lesser strands of hair found on the floor after using its anti-hair fall shampoo and conditioner. If you are worried about the herbal scent lingering on your hair, fret on..because the herbal scent will not linger on your hair after you rinse your hair. However, it does leave my hair ends dry so it is strongly recommended to use Bawang's conditioner or a very effective conditioner on hair ends to address the dry ends. Do look out for the anti-hair fall shampoo professional pack which comes with a free 80ml anti-hair fall shampoo...

Bawang Natural Herbal Range for different hair concerns/types:

New additions to the Bawang Family....

Have you seen this series of Bawang shampoo before? At first I thought it was new packaging until I was told that they are new additions to the Bawang Natural Herbal Range... Instead of dark green/black packaging, these come in brown/beige packaging.. The new additions include Ginseng Deep Revitalizing Shampoo, Polygonum Hair Thickening Shampoo and Tea-seed Itch Relief Shampoo.. These are slightly expensive than the dark green/black series, selling at $17.90 for 750ml and $11.90 for 400ml.

Bawang Tea-seed itch relief shampoo contains a special blend of herbal extracts including Tea-seed, Ginger and Camomile. I have been using this shampoo for the past few days and I quite like it..The herbal scent is not as strong as the anti-hair fall shampoo as it does not contain ginseng. This shampoo leaves my hair soft and manageable, I guess the camomile in the product helps in conditioning my hair, without making my hair ends dry.

By the way, I am not sure if you all have read about the defaming article that  Bawang's products containing canser-causing Dioxane in Hong Kong's ....

Fret not, these are just rumours published by the gossip magazine . For your information, 1,4-Dioxane is prevalent in our daily necessities such as water, air and food, and can be found in most if not all shampoos, shower products and cosmetics. This substance is not an intentional ingredient but a technically unavoidably by-product inherited from the combination of raw materials during the production process. The level of 1,4 Dioxane that is found in Bawang Shampoo is certified to be so mild that it poses no threat to consumer health and well-being. ( as shown on the newspapers article published on wan bao on 22nd July 2010).

However, do bear in mind that parallel imports are neither covered by insurance, scientific reports nor product indemnity, and a real danger of counterfeit shampoo.. Always ensure that what you purchased off the shelves are genuine Bawang products. All genuine Bawang products will come with a seal or logo bearing Hannah logo that looks something like this:

We were also introduced to a new shampoo range endorsed by Faye Wong called Royal Wind ( 追风).. It will be available in mid-August .. so next time when you see Faye Wong appearing on TV commericals, you know she is 追风 after using Royal Wind shampoo... ('',)

Hi, I hope this product would improve my hair loss issues. I've read so many different reviews on this product and do not have the courage to try it.

Thank you! I have received the items - so sweet of you to even throw in a foundation sample, haha!

I just tried the Bawang Anti-Hair Fall one, have been contemplating getting it off Fr3b but annoyed by the escalating postage fees, lol.

Hi Kimberly

so glad to know that you received the samples, I thought the mail lost already coz the rest received theirs. Lol, I just so don't trust singpost ..

The anti hairfall shampoo smells really like ginseng, use one time can't really tell the difference.. Me used a couple of bottles n it helps in reducing hair fall but left my hair ends very dry n frizzy, so have to use a good mask n conditioner thereafter.

The Faye wong shampoo has got a nicer smell.

I think now fr3b or the sample store, has changed their pricing on postage, think at least $2 for a sample...

Enjoy your day!

See you around(",)

Hi Kimberly,

The bawang anti hair fall is not bad, just that it makes my hair ends dry.. so have to use good conditioner/mask.. or else will end up with fizzy ends..

The Faye Wong shampoo has got a nicer smell though.. I have yet to try the shampoo.. haha.. so it left your hair dry.. at least you have tried the sample, if buy whole bottle will go to waste.

Personally I like Audace Regan Hair Reactive and Hair fall control shampoo, won't leave hair ends dry..cost around $10 for a bottle..

Next time if I see you, I pass you some sample to try.('',)
