Review: Essential Nuance Airy Anti-Frizz Serum

Recently, I got a complimentary bottle of Essential Nuance Airy Anti-Frizz Serum from Cozycot, for me to try out. [Thank you Essential (Kao Singapore) and Cozycot!]

This is how it looks like - a sweet pastel pink bottle with a pump dispenser. The size of the bottle (60ml) is just nice for us to carry around in our bags, it will also be a sweet eye candy on your dressing table.

-The descriptions of Essential Nuance Airy Anti-Frizz Serum as listed on the box packaging.

- The ingredients list for Essential Nuance Airy Anti-Frizz Serum

So does it work on my hair?

- After application of Essential Nuance Airy Anti-Frizz Serum

First of all, the serum is more of watery oil-like texture which spreads easily on my palms and fingers. Scent -wise, it smells something like a fruitty-rose scent which is quite nice...but once I apply the hair serum onto my hair and smell my hair, I cannot seem to smell any rose or fruitty scent. So even if you do not like the scent, it will not linger on your hair.

As my hair is quite long, I apply the hair serum to the last 10-15cm of my hair. As this is more of an intensive leave-on treatment, I did not notice any straightening effect.. however, I find that it makes my hair smoother to touch and less frizzy. It will be better if it can provide straightening effect on my hair. The hair serum is indeed easily absorbed with no oily after feel, (on both my hair and hands).

For $10.90 for a 60ml bottle, it is reasonable priced and affordable for a leave-on treatment. There are 2 variants - Nuance Airy for light and bouncy feel (Pink Packaging) and Rich Premier for smooth and manageable feel.(Orange Packaging)

I have seen the whole range of Essential display at Watsons and leading supermarkets. Do try out the testers and see the results yourself.

The display looks something like this:

By the way, heard Essential masks are quite good, but I have yet to try.. anyone of you tried already? How is it?

Tried the mask and honestly, I don't really like it. There was so much hype about it but it was a big disappointment (at least for me).

I'd rather stick to my Bene horse oil mask (http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3631/picturejl0.th.jpg, but I'm using the pink color one).

Hi Sharon,

Those places like beauty language or Venus should have it. I normally buy it from a store called Valentine @ Parkway parade (opposite of GNC store). They also have Beauty Language there btw (incase you stay in the East) :)

Hi Sharon,

Yup that's me! (Kimberly) I just started to catch up on blogging recently, had a LJ for years but never really updated since it was blocked in office, so now making up for it on my new blogspot account. Haha.

I have tried the Pantene 3 min miracle, the Ascience hair mask, the former is ok (but a bit costly) while the latter SUCKS big time. Tempted to try Essentials mask too...

Hi Kimberly,

Thanks for leaving me a comment ya...u finally found my blog..

Pantene 3mins miracle hair treatment is not bad, asience hair mask works like it's conditioner except it's thicker, in the past me also tried a lot of hair masks but I like loreal hair spa(tub in green).

Snce Chinese new year till now, I have been using hair mask everyday.., coz my hair stylist said it's ok to use hair mask everyday, but I treat it as a conditioner ..

Then recently loreal got sale, bought at $5 per tub.. Cheap
cheap .. Essentials hair mask around $8+ per tub... Looks
good .. The smells quite nice too.. Hair mask has become part of my daily haircare regime ever since I treat them
like conditioners(",)
