It has been more than 3 weeks since I started including these 3 latest Clarins White Plus HP Sea Lily enriched whitening products (Whitening Repairing Night Cream, Gentle Brightening Exfoliator and Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel) into my skincare regime...and I am back with my reviews for these products..
Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Repairing Night Cream
Description:
The first night cream with white flower extracts which controls hyperpigmentation due to daytime UV rays, and also stress accumulated from morning to night.

Method of use:
Apply cream after your serum, in the evening. Warm the cream between palms follow by progressively moving the flat of the hands from the middle of the face to the sides (not to forget the neck and decollete areas). Then carry out light pressing motions with the hands over the face, to encourage absorption without stretching tissues.

This white creamy night cream has a nice yet subtle floral scent that smell like Sea Lily and Daisy extracts... The scent did not linger on my skin for long though, so not to worry that your skin is going to smell like white flowers. Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Night Cream comes in a 50ml jar packaging with a plastic cover that has got an attached stick-out flap for easy access to the product. Since its in a jar form, I still got to use a cotton bud to scoop out the product from the jar. Do not dig your finger right into the product, as I am sure you do not want to contaminate the rest of the cream in the jar.
The texture of this night cream is pretty light and creamy, and it is absorbed easily into my skin, leaving my skin soft and supple to the touch. My skin still feel moisturised and soft after a whole night of sleep in an air-conditioned room. I did not apply a whole chuck of cream as a little is sufficient for my whole face...Yes, I like this night cream! It would be even perfect if it comes in a tube form.

Description:
An exfoliator that is ideal for massaging into skin. This rich, smooth cream with microbeads deep cleanses, smoothes and brightens the skin.

Method of use:
After cleansing your skin, warm a small amount of cream in the hands then apply onto dry or damp skin, avoiding the eye contour area. Massage onto skin with gentle, circular motions for a while and rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and the rest of your skincare products. (Use once or twice a week.)
Clarins White Plus HP Gentle Brightening Exfoliator is presented in a 50ml flat and compact tube which one can easily squeeze out appropriate amount of product for use. This exfoliator (or scrub) combines two types of perfectly spherical microbeads which act in synergy to ensure gentle exfoliation. As seen from the above picture, the exfoliator contains two different colored microbeads- the white exfoliating microbeads made from silica and 250 microns in diameter; lift off impurities and dead cells and clear pores whereas the red refining microbeads are made from plant cellulose and 100 microns in diameter; refine skin texture and revive complexion radiance. It is also enriched with brightening active ingredients to leave skin perfectly clear and the complexion even.
Although this exfoliator can be used on dry cleansed skin, I prefer to use it on slightly damp skin as I find that I can massage the product onto my skin much better this way. I can feel the gentle microbeads working against my skin. After a while of massaging in circular motions, I rinse well with warm water and I can instantly feel my skin much smoother and slightly brighter, without any redness or irritation after wash.
I use this product once a week to exfoliate my skin so that dead cells can be removed, so that the rest of my skincare products can be absorbed into my skin..if we do not exfoliate our skin properly, no matter how good our serums/moisturisers are, they will not be absorbed well into the inner layers of our skin, as dead skin cells on the surface will prevent the absorption of skincare products.

Description:
This is an exfoliating lotion to provide a quick and easy way to exfoliate, for an instant feeling of freshness and totally clean skin. Its formula is based on very gentle fruit acids, obtained from tamarind fruit, breaks the intercellular links that still join partially separated surface cells and thus encourages their natural elimination.

Method of Use:
Dry your skin after cleansing your face. Apply with a cotton pad soaked in lotion and use on the face and neck, avoiding the eye contour area. Wait one minute before applying your toner and the rest of your skincare products. (Use once or twice a week.)

Most exfoliators are in creamy form with microbeads to aid exfoliation, although there are some gel-type exfoliators in which one still need to massage or work the product onto the skin to rub off the dead skin cells. I know in some beauty salons, the beauty therapists will use a lotion peel in place of the grainy scrubs on clients during the exfoliating process, so I was pretty surprised that Clarins introduced an exfoliating lotion in its White Plus HP range.
The texture is rather similar to some toners I had used before. Not the watery kind, but more to Japanese softener texture. This product is to be used after cleansing on dry and cleansed skin, before toner. Just pour the lotion onto a cotton pad and use on the face and neck, like how you would use a toner on your skin. It will leave a slight damp layer on my skin upon application that is why it states to wait one minute before applying regular skin care products. There is no need to rub or massage. Simply apply with a cotton pad to remove all that dulls the skin.. easy right?
I have been alternating between the gentle brightening exfoliator and gentle renewing brightening peel, using each product once a week, leaving a break of 3-4days in between the two products.

By the way, I was told that both the Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel and Gentle Brightening Exfoliator give the same results, but the Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel will be more suitable for sensitive skins since it does not require one to massage the product onto the skin. If you have normal skin, I guess it will depend on individual preferences how you like to exfoliate our skin, either with the traditional exfoliator with microbreads or just apply using a lotion.
I enjoy using these 3 Clarins White Plus HP products, as I find that my skin looks brighter and smoother these days. Did I mention that these 3 products have a shelf life of 18 months each?
