Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat

I went to Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat for the 3rd time.. this tiem we went early at 5.30pm so not so crowded, but if you go around 7-8pm, its super crowded.... i think there are like more than 100-200 tables at the basement of this ulu looking building, all eating this steamboat, small or big groups..

But 1 thing to note is the steamboat serve here is not buffet style.. its in a set that is already prepared, but you can choose if you want beef and/or cockles.. and each set comes with a plate of green vegetables, an egg and a small plate of fresh ingredients.. normally people will order chicken rice and chicken to complement their steamboat...

Although it may look like little ingredients, it can really make us full... The soup is rather plain and can taste of real chicken. i guess they boil all their chickens in a big pot of soup and use the soup as the soup base for the steamboat... ( the soup is not like those powder-made ones) they also got satay, and other dishes ..
2 of us ate around $30. although its not buffet, we had a satisfying and fullfilling meal.

Actually this is quite a famous steamboat place which many people know... too bad its not a buffet style ... because for the same price, can eat buffet steamboat at Bugis...

Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat is located:
B1-20, Golden Mile Tower,
6001 Beach Road
Singapore
Telephone: (65) 6298-5891

Its a quite nice steamboat ... will give it a 7 out of 10 if you were to ask me to grade.. If you have craving for steamboat without feeling super full as buffet steamboat, can try this place...

If you go around 7-8pm, please be prepared to be shocked to see the enormous crowd at the basement of the ulu building....haha

but talking about buffet steamboat, I still miss ex marina south dragon village steamboat and Kitchener Road's San He Yuan Steamboat which dont know why it closed down... sad! San He Yuan got the most delicious la mian I have eaten. QQ and ultra delicious...
